I love New Year as a season to look back on what has been, and to look forward to what's to come. I don't tend to make resolutions but it is a good time to take stock, and to think about how to live life more intentionally. My hope and prayer for the Sophia Network in 2011 is that we can continue to encourage, support, equip and inspire you, and that we can move closer to a world where women and men work together in partnership and equality. In our update this month, you can read:
Autumn is well under way - the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness according to Keats, but it seems to be the season of deadlines and busyness in my house. I must take time to kick through leaves and breathe in frosty mornings, and we hope you'll be able to take time to read the excellent update we have for you this month.
We've been promising it for a long time but we at last have a new members' section that will be much more interactive and user-friendly than our previous one. We do need all our members to sign up again though, which will enable you to choose what's said about you and to make sure that all your information is up to date. It'll take a few minutes to sign up, and then a few more to make the most of your profile. We'll be sending an email out about it in a week or so, but if you want to be one of the first to make the move you can sign up here. To sweeten the move, everyone who signs up on the new members' section by 5 November will be entered into a draw to win a free place at the Youthwork Conference 2009 or 2010, plus there'll be runners up prizes of books.
Both the old and the new members' sections will be running while everyone makes the move across, although new members who sign up after today will just be in the new section. When you sign up there may not be many other members in the new section but be assured that we have over 360 members so it will get much busier!
