I was driving from Bristol to Eastbourne on Saturday and listened to
Weekend Woman's Hour on the way. There was an interesting item about
the credit crunch, and the collapse of financial institutions. Gillian
Tett from the Financial Times was arguing that women working in that
area are more likely to think about the consequences of their actions
and the impact they will have on other people than the men who are more
likely to take bigger risks. What I found really interesting was her
comment that the financial institutions who have both men and women
working together actually do better. Men on their own maybe take too
many risks; women on their own won't make so much money. But together
they make the perfect team. You can listen to the item here:
