Damaris Trust has produced some free resources to go with a new Disney film coming out soon all about family life.
The new free resources for Disney’s The Odd Life of Timothy Green (in UK cinemas from today) can now be downloaded free from www.damaris.org/timothygreen. These up-to-the-minute official film resources are ideal for talks and sermons.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green is an inspiring and magical story for the whole family. It tells of a happily married couple who can't wait to start a family, but can only dream about what their child might be like. It gently raises questions about families, childlessness, fostering and adoption.
In them you see the couple burying their hopes and dreams; and then, in the morning, waking to find an unexpected and miraculous gift of new life.
The themes link beautifully with the launch of the Home for Good fostering and adoption campaign for churches, which you can read more about at www.homeforgood.org.uk The Damaris Trust is sharing news of this important campaign in conjunction with our resources for The Odd Life of Timothy Green and it is a cause well worth supporting.
The free resources comprise:
- Three short clips from the film, plus the trailer, ideal as illustrations for a talk, sermon or assembly
- Thought-provoking questions and ideas to accompany the film clips and trailer
- A helpful discussion guide suitable for use in any family or community group
- An article with biblical reflections on this inspirational story, written by Krish Kandiah, Director of the Home for Good fostering and adoption campaign
So what do you think? What might it have to say to us about family life?
