Welcome to the November Sophia update.
Grab yourself a cup of tea or coffee (or any other beverage of your choice) and a cheeky slice of cake or packet of biscuits because this month we have got plenty of high quality content for you to engage with including three contributions from members of the network offering their thoughts on the blog for the first time.
Our regular contributor, Tami Zacharias, kicks things off for us this month with a contribution on ‘Vulnerability in Leadership’ and as well as offering some searching questions for our own reflection also recommends Brene Brown’s book Daring Greatly to us.
Rev Sarah Whittleston offers a reflection from her experience at the Equipping Day back in September with the encouragement to join us for this event next year.
Helen Young writes on how we find ‘beauty in waiting’ a timely topic as we approach the season of Advent.
Finally this month, Lynda Heron offers a challenging reflection on the subject of identity offering a message that we would all do well to hear and own for ourselves in Hey, You!
This month the trustees of the Network will meet to consider the strategic future of the network, to explore the differing experiences and gifts that the trustees bring, and to prayerfully seek God and his guidance for the role he is calling Sophia to take for today. We would really value your prayers for this time together and we will share with you the outworking of this time together as it unfolds.
