Every year the clocks 'falling back' surprises me (although this year I managed somehow to trick my children into sleeping late on the Sunday morning - hence defeating the monstrosity that is 'clock change vs small people!'). Now as the days get colder, the nights longer and you face that familiar ponder of 'coat or no coat?' why not take some time to steer clear of the hints of red and golden tinsel calling you to the high-street, and read the brilliant contributions this month?;
- Sharon Prior reviews 'The Leadership of Jesus' by Campbell McAlpine,
- There is an interesting interview with Helena Kittle who had, what sounds like, an incredible summer,
- Newlywed Dr Claire Rush writes a brilliant and insightful article entitled 'The New Rules: Adultery is now the 21st century approach to marriage... apparently!'
You might also want to add a book to your Chrismas list: 'A Year of Biblical Womanhood' written by the amazing Rachel Held Evans which follows one person's journey into exploring what the Bible has to say about being a woman. We hope to have a review of the book in our December update, but if you can't wait that long you can have a look at what 'The Independent' had to say here.
Happy reading - Ruth
