Rosie Ward has created two downloadable short courses to help local church groups explore the themes and issues raised in her excellent book Growing Women Leaders which we reviewed here.
Each course has three sessions, and is designed to help Christians think through the issue of women in leadership. One course is for mixed groups and the other is aimed at groups of women who want to encourage each other and develop younger women as leaders. You can download the courses free of charge here.
Rosie's book comes highly recommended and these courses are an excellent opportunity to explore the themes further in your own context. The first session looks at what the Bible says about women in leadership as well as looking at church history. The second looks at gender stereotypes and whether men and women lead differently. The final session looks at how churches can develop women as leaders, and how women can develop their own gifts and confidence. Each session is based on a chapter from Growing Women Leaders as well as biblical material.

The Sophia Network exists to connect women in youth work and ministry to access training, develop skills and grow as leaders.
